Conductivity depends on the no. of ions present in the solution.
Complex which produces the minimum no. of ions will have minimum conductivity.
The Geometry depends on the co ordination number of the complex metal atom / ion.
CN = 6 ⇒ Octahedral
CN = 4 ⇒ Tetrahedral (or) square planar.
In Isomerism, the coordination number and oxidation number of the central metal atom does not change.
Bonds are different (Structural Isomerism)
(a) Ionization → on ionization gives different ions in aqueous solution.
(b) hydrate → different no. of water molecules present inside and outside coordination sphere.
(c) Linkage Isomerism: In this isomers ambidentate ligands are present.
Ex: NCS & SCN, ONO & NO2
(d) Co-ordination Isomerism: Both anionic and cationic part is complex and exchange between the ligands of both ions.
(charge on the coordination sphere can change but not on the central metal)
Bonds are same (space or stereo isomerism)
