Factors affecting the rate of reactions- Concentration, Temperature, Pressure, Catalyst

Factors Affecting rate of reaction:
(a) Nature of reactants
(b) Concentration (or) pressure of reactants: Rate of a reaction increases with increase in concentration (in general) or pressure of reactants. However the rate constant does not change.
(c) Surface area (Physical state) of reactants: Higher the surface area, higher is the rate of reaction.
(d) Temperature: Higher the temperature, higher is the rate of reaction, generally, Rate constant increases with increase in temperature.
(e) Catalyst
(f) Effect of light.
